01 What happened
SAP has introduced the Process Data Modeling Agent as a new agentic AI capability in SAP Signavio Process Intelligence. At publication on 19 October 2026 the capability was in beta, and the beta program runs from September to December 2026 with limited spots. The agent proposes case-based or object-centric data models from raw data; users review the proposed objects, relationships and events before any pipeline is built.
02 Key details
- Availability: SAP says the Process Data Modeling Agent is in beta in SAP Signavio Process Intelligence; the beta program runs from September to December 2026 with limited spots for existing customers, organizations onboarding new data sources, process mining teams and data preparation teams.
- Workflow: a modeler describes intent in plain language, reviews the proposed business objects, relationships and events, then approves or requests adjustments before the agent writes SQL, sets up event collectors and validates output in the background.
- Human control: SAP states the agent is meant to assist, not replace, process experts, and that the review step keeps business context under human control; advanced users can inspect the generated pipeline.
- Input scope: structured process data from SAP and non-SAP systems — transactional datasets, operational tables, exports or existing workspace data. The Process Consulting Agent is already publicly available; MCP links both agents, which SAP describes as an emerging industry standard.
03 Why it matters
SAP cites industry data that data preparation consumes 40–70% of total process mining project effort; the beta's reach and any benefit stay tied to participation and the customer's own data sources.
04 Who it matters to
SAP customers, SAP partners, process Mining Teams, SAP Competence Centers and data Specialists.
