01 What happened
The Migration Tool in SAP Integration Suite now supports migrating Content-Based Routing (CBR) Synchronous scenarios from SAP Process Orchestration to SAP Integration Suite, as detailed in an SAP Community blog post published October 27, 2026. It covers eight standard synchronous cases, two migration approaches (Standard and Pipeline), and a post-migration checklist.
02 Key details
- The Migration Tool now supports CBR Synchronous scenarios, automatically detecting the pattern from your ICO configuration.
- Synchronous CBR requires a ProcessDirect adapter with Request Reply, not JMS, and routing must resolve to exactly one receiver and one interface.
- Multiple standard synchronous cases are supported, varying by number of operations, receivers, interfaces, and conditions.
- The Pipeline Approach generates one inbound flow, one shared generic runtime flow, and per-receiver-interface outbound flows, with routing logic stored as XSLT in the Partner Directory.
- The migration process involves verifying request/response mappings, routing logic preservation, and two-way communication model integrity.
03 Why it matters
This enables SAP PO users to migrate synchronous content-based routing scenarios to cloud integration without manual pattern detection, with structured approaches and built-in verification steps.
04 Who it matters to
