SAP Cloud ALM for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition now supports creating and assigning multiple transport types directly from a Feature with Release 2608.
02 Key details
- Release 2608 enables, for the first time, creating transport requests for Customizing, Cross-Client Customizing, and Developer Extensibility directly from a Feature in SAP Cloud ALM.
- Modifiable (open) transport requests can now be assigned to a Feature, whereas previously only released transports could be assigned; the system manages quality status and routing according to the standard process.
- Import steps for Customizing, Cross-Client Customizing, Central Business Configuration, Key User Extensibility, and Developer Extensibility transports can be triggered from a Feature, and export results from the development system are reflected automatically.
- The 'Instant Forward' capability on the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition test system forwards approved transports to the production import queue, enabling seamless deployment.
- Administrators must configure the Communication Arrangement SAP_COM_0690 between SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and SAP Cloud ALM; further enhancements are planned for Release 2702 and beyond.
